Kyle Pigney DC, MS

Kyle Pigney, Chiropractor and Rehab Coach, is deeply passionate about helping people get out of pain and return to the activities they love. Having dealt with numerous injuries and setbacks throughout his own fitness and athletic pursuits, Kyle understands how frustrating it can be to find high-quality care that truly meets you where you are and aligns with your goals. This personal experience drives him to provide that level of care for others; helping people not only recover, but function better than before.

Kyle’s educational journey began at Illinois State University, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. During his time there, his passion for fitness and powerlifting was ignited. This passion led him to become increasingly curious about the “why” behind performance, sparking a deep interest in the science and physics that underpin human movement.

That curiosity led Kyle to remain at Illinois State for two additional years to complete a Master’s degree in Biomechanics. His graduate work focused on a wide range of human movement analyses, including jumping and landing mechanics, lifting technique, and running mechanics.

Kyle’s educational journey culminated in earning his Doctorate of Chiropractic from National University of Health Sciences. While in chiropractic school, he completed hundreds of hours of weekend seminars and advanced courses to further develop his assessment and treatment skills. He also served as the school’s anatomy fellow, gaining an even deeper understanding of human anatomy. This marked the final step in a 10-year journey that equipped him with the education and expertise needed to provide the highest quality care to his patients.

Kyle’s treatment philosophy is built on the principles of antifragility and robustness. He works to identify limitations, whether pain-related or functional, that prevent individuals from meeting the demands of their daily lives and activities. From there, he collaborates with his patients to create personalized plans that turn those limitations into strengths. His approach incorporates a wide variety of techniques, including rehabilitative exercise, soft tissue therapies, cupping, and joint mobilization and manipulation.

Join Dr. Kyle on a journey toward building resilience, overcoming pain, and performing at your fullest potential. At Functional Effect, we’re committed to helping you become better than before.
