Formerly the head of our training & programming department, Sarah now uses her diverse background in fitness and her degree in psychology to effectively guide our nutrition coaching programs. She believes in a realistic approach and building a strong foundation from which to build off of. You will quickly see that Sarah will challenge you to step outside of your comfort zone and into your power!

Dr. Tyler Reynolds
Co-founder of Functional Effect Fitness Tyler Reynolds has always had a strong desire to help others achieve optimal health and wellness, getting his start in the fitness industry working with clients with cognitive and physical limitations. In addition to attaining his Doctorate of Chiropractic from National University of Health Sciences, Tyler has completed over 250+ hours of post-graduate studies in Functional Rehabilitation with specialties in shoulder dysfunction and The McKenzie Method (MDT) in addition to being certified in the Selective Functional Movement Assessment. Dr. Reynolds number one goal is to eliminate pain and maximize function in each client he works with.
Andrew Kouba, CSCS FMS
Starting out as a Strength Coach and later as a Personal Trainer, Functional Effect Head Coach Andrew Kouba now leads our training and programming department. Coach Andrew has successfully worked alongside a wide variety of clientele and has spent 10+ years in the fitness industry, getting his start at the Bulls Sox Academy while he earned his Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science from North Central College. Post-grad, Coach Andrew obtained his certification as a Functional Movement Screen Specialist as well as his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

The first visit with Dr. Reynolds is 1 hour and each follow-up visit is 30 minutes. Your entire appointment time is spent face-to-face with Dr. Reynolds, as opposed to being spent with assistants or hooked up to various machines. Dr. Reynolds uses a variety of modalities to treat his patients including chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture/dry needling, cupping, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization and therapeutic exercise. Each visit and treatment protocol is individually tailored to each patient. Your visit to Dr. Reynolds’ office will truly be unlike anything you have ever experienced before.
