One of the most challenging parts about summer break can be staying consistent with your workouts. Summer schedules for the kiddos, weekend parties and family vacations can all get in the way of your ability to maintain consistency during the summer months, but the team at Functional Effect are going to be featuring the “Workout of the Month” to help you stay on track. These workouts will require nothing more than your body weight and can be done anywhere! As with any workout, spend 5-10 minutes doing some kind of soft-tissue work (foam rolling, etc) and a dynamic warm-up before getting after it! June Workout of the Month
Complete 2-4 rounds of each circuit (A-C), taking time to rest as needed, but preferably at the bottom of the round.
Circuit #1 (2-4 rounds, rest as needed)
A. Side plank with Hip/Leg raise – 5 on each side
B. Bear crawl – 40 yards
C. Skater jumps – 10 total
Circuit #2 (2-4 rounds, rest as needed)
A. Inchworm Walkouts – 5
B. Dead Bug – 20 total
C. Lateral Line Hops – 20 total
